i was watching "Mean Girls" the other day, snorting in bed while scratching my crotch to the apex of satisfaction. It was the first time i caught it on vcd so the image quality was pretty bad and i got bored and sleepy soon enough. I wasn't sure if what i saw later on were scenes of the show or juz a figment of my imagination while i was delving into subconcious activity..wah lau whey..

Those scenes i saw were so interesting, and the dialouges quoted were so enticing, i managed to conjure a couple of terminologies which may come in handy just in case, in future, being a "Mean Girl" turns out to be as cool as being

• "Minah high class who goes urgh-so-melayu sakkk"
• "aku punk emo, punk aku dgr good charlotte, emo aku dgr backstreet boys"
• " aku mat skimmers pasal aku pakai quiksilver dgn rip curl"

just to cite a few popular communities in the social circles today.



"Why u copy my style?"

This quote can be used when u see people in town wearing the same shirt or has any little bit of similar features as u. U simply go up to them with a stupid face and ask nicely. Do not demand, it would only result in provocation.

If they reply with an answer u have no idea of answering, juz once again make a stupid face and reply nonchalantly



"This is a free world..which i do not keep the comment to myself"

If all else fails, juz say



"fuck ur mom!!!"

and make ur way to the exit.

Of course, if you're shameless enough, you could add this as a parting shot so you could console your sorry self that you made your exit in personal glory..

"Your guy fuck me before..he lied to you all along"

This would be a bit too extreme, considering the person just simply had similar features, so u would have to be really shameless to be able to carry this out. Notice the word "fuck" and not "fucked". It accentuates the level of stupidity required.

Last but not least, one classic quote



"Would u be my fren if i were dark and had curly hair?"

This could be used when u have straight long hair, fair skin. U could use this to mock at the darker brethren of the community. But stop short at sparking a racism campaign because it would be rendered invalid. Blame it on "we vote for taufik batisah so we not racist horr."

The scene of "Mean Girls" then emerged, personifying the amount of girl power they possesed, as they struck a pose.



I woke up, shivering with fright. Bad dream.

People say life runs in cycles. So instead of being a proud pseudo-intellectual old pakcik or makcik who puts on a solemn, educated face to the younger generation and whose conversation with them is only initiated after a positive answer generated from the question " Da tak sekolah lagi? " "Sekolah mana sekarang? ITE?", im going to be a brash egoistic teenager first, before learning my mistakes and going on to be a wise old man. How does that suggestion sound?

I've been greeted with those two questions cited above so often, i lost count. There were occasions when i tried answering " A ah sekolah ITE.." and the conversation ends there, without being asked " ITE mana? " or " Course apa?.."

I find it laughable when a few weeks later that same person ironically asked me the same two qns(which clearly shows he didnt give a damn abt my previous ans). This time, i answered truthfully "Masih sekola..skola kat poly ah". I was then being thrusted into a conversation which stretched on for quite a while. That same person suddenly became interested and tried to find out(or rather assumed with his intelligence like "oh multimedia computing eh..byk blajar multimedia la ni..oh bagos..anak pakcik menyek menyek menyek..") what my course offers and even offered his advice on how to succeed because his son is in a university overseas and is completing his studies soon.

Haha..honestly this shouldnt be an issue, but it is, based on the simple reason because that pakcik wasnt the only encounter i had in which all the conversation cited above were involved.

I believe the actions taken were in good interests, but why the double standards?

Why that proud look when im from ITE and why that sudden interest when im from a polytechnic?

I wonder if they would suck my balls if i told them i were from Harvard.

I think this only reflects the skewed mentality among the community towards the level of educational tertiary. Maybe all those posters put up on MRT trains and all those seminars available that reiterate that ITE is a positive route to success just like any other institutions are invisible to them.

And ironically this community is made up of people who has relations with people of higher educational status, so they could use that fact to brag and elevate themselves to a higher social status, evoking comparisons with their successful relative. Although not all of them are as described, i believe actions should be taken towards the culprits. They should be tied up and tickled on their soles until they agree to break out of their bad habit.
